Welcome to Deansbrook Infant School PTA

(Parent Teachers Association)

The primary function of our PTA is to provide an opportunity in which parents can get involved in our thriving school community. The PTA plan events to support the community of the school and provide opportunities to bring the children, staff and parents together socially; we also raise funds that can be used to help improve equipment, facilities and resources within the school.

We run a number of events throughout the year including our very popular cake sales, children's disco, movie night, Christmas fun day, international day, summer fair and Deansbrook Bake Off (Judged by our very own Richard Burr, British Bake Off finalist!) We have many more exciting ideas planned but are always looking for new ideas and would love for you to be involved!

Every parent is automatically a member of the PTA, but some people choose to play an active role in the organisation of events and fund raisers. We are always looking for new people to join us, either for a one off event, on a regular basis or even as a class rep (where you can help rally volunteers and support your class).

We usually hold most meetings at 9am to fit in with school drop off, but we do also hold some in the evening so that those who are working or have other commitments during the day can be involved, so please do let us know if you are interested so we can schedule meetings that suit everyone.

Remember this is your PTA, planning events and raising funds for the children of our school and supporting their education and school life. The more we organise and the more money we raise the more our children gain.

Finally you can decide how much or how little you want to get involved; maybe you can bake a cake, sell raffle tickets, help plan our Summer Fair or just support an event by coming along or making a donation. Its up to you, we hope you will get involved and join in with some events and that Deansbrook PTA will help make yours and your children's time at Deansbrook Infant School that little bit more fun!
